Description
Ordering Cat Netting by the metre is simple:
- Select your width
- In the quantity field, enter the number of lineal metres that you need (whole metres only, no decimals)
- Press ‘Add to cart’. The cart will automatically calculate the $8.75 per m2 price based on the width selected and lineal metres entered
Note: If you are trying to add multiple lengths per width, the shopping cart will combine the netting into one piece per netting width and you will receive the netting in one piece.

IMPORTANT:
This netting has been designed for use by cats only and is not covered for damage resulting from dogs or other animals housed in OR outside of the enclosure.
Safety:
Due to the size of the netting squares, Catnets recommend kittens (6 months and under) should not be left unattended for prolonged periods within the enclosure. In regards to cat enclosures safety in general, it is advised that all netting is installed as taut as practically possible.

Easy to assemble and my cat is safer
I ordered the premium cat netting with stainless steel from Catnets and was really happy with the prompt service and extremely impressed with the quality of the netting.
We have two cats that are absolutely loving being able to get outside and explore the yard. We’ve only just finished building the enclosure, and I’d love to add some platforms and climbing activities next, as we don’t have anything set up inside for them yet.

Here at The Peaceable Kin-dom Animal Rescue, we've used CatNets premium cat netting (with wire reinforcement) for the "roofing" for all our open-air catios that don't have Clearlight roofs. No cat has ever escaped, and there have been plenty of attempts.
Recently we built a double-entry door frame for one of our small outside enclosures. This was a lightweight wooden frame designed to contain our"door-dasher" kittens who too easily slip between our feet when we enter their space through a single door. Since we didn't have enouugh CatNets netting left to cover the door, and we didn't want to wait for an order to get from Australia to rural New Zealand, we took the "quick and easy" route and ordered some cat netting from Bunnings. It was advertised as reinforced with steel wire and designed specially to contain cats.
It arrived in 1 day and we stretched it on the frame. And the first time those kittens dashed out the inner door into the containing space bounded by the new door, they went right for the netting - to chew on it! One bite with those sharp little teeth, and the net was severed, reinforcing wire and all! Three 10-week-old kittens' first brief foray into this supposedly secure space produced 3 holes in the netting, and because the mesh was coarser than CatNets mesh, it wouldn't have taken many more nibbles to create an easy escape hole for these little guys!
Long story short: the Bunnings netting went back for a refund as "unfit for purpose," but the cost of the builder's labour to install and then remove it was money down the drain. We only had to wait a few days for our CatNets by-the-metre order to arrive, the builder installed it, and there was no more chewing. The kittens climbed it, of course, and it was up to the task. So... no more "close, cheap and convenient" purchases for us - we'll only be buying CatNets premium wire-reinforced netting for our own enclosures from now on, and that's what we'll be recommending to all our adopters for their catios. "Haste makes waste" definitely applies when building cat enclosures. Get the real thing - it'll save time, money, and frustration - AND keep your kitties safely where they belong!
