Our cats love short outings in the backpack. We're slowly extending the range and duration of trips. The backpack is comfy and easy to use although a bit too deep so the cat wobbles around a bit unless they crouch down. Although it's spacious enough that they don't feel constricted, which might be a better way to start. The top mesh doesn't roll up and there's no harness attachment inside, although you could use the external handle to tether them if you want to leave a mesh open. It's a great entry-level backpack to get the cats used to the concept when you don't know how they'll respond. We got it when our cats were 8 months, but in hindsight, i wish we'd got it much earlier so we could take both kittens together out for walks to get them used to it when much younger. Fabulous product especially considering the price.
I left this in the lounge with the front flap open and my cat went in there to check it out and even chose to sleep in it a few times. This will make it so much easier next time she has to be transported.
The backpack is large enough for my 5.5kg cat. The construction is sturdy and my cat can look out. I am fairly large and there's plenty of room in the straps for the backpack to be comfortable. The chest strap makes everything more stable.
My cat likes that I am right there with her rather than sitting in the back seat of a car.
I don't drive so this is the perfect way to get her to the vet or have a walk.

The backpack has made adventures with our 7 month old kitten safe and has opened up so many more places we can take him. He is happy to go in it, knowing he is off for an adventure.
